What God has in store

Submitted by Alison…I can’t believe it’s only been a week since we welcomed the first group of freshmen arriving on campus last wednesday.  Those who were free helped them move in during the day, and then we had frisbee at night. We had only a handful of people come the first night…but from that night all the way last night, we had a steady turnout so that our frisbee games were crowded!  It was fun to see the same people over and to get to know people’s names and backgrounds a bit.  On Saturday Praxis blanketed the campus with prayer and got involved in hosting several fun activities such as “Nacho Average Night” and “Burgers and Bowling” to name a few.  Along the way we met many new students!  I’m looking forward to this fall as we get to know the students more and invite them to know more about God through our Open House, Bible Study and New Student Welcome Night in the next weeks.

Submitted by Sandra…The school year at CSUEB is about to start and CSUEB Focus Group and Praxis have been working side by side to meet new students and get to know them.  We started out with 4 days of helping students move into the dorms, followed by Nacho Average Night, Earthquake in SF (Ghiradelli Run), Burgers and Bowling, and Sundaes on Monday.  Every night at 10 pm, we have been waiting in front of the New UU lawn for students to join us in a fun battle of Glow in the Dark Ultimate Frisbee.  The word has been spreading about our events and everyday we meet more and more students who are excited to play Frisbee with us and join us for our events.

We eagerly anticipate the new school year, recognizing that each student that we meet has a story of their own, and a life journey that has brought them to this point.
