Submitted by Esther… I’m thankful to witness God at work in the lives of our seniors. It amazes me how God changes people within four years. It’s amazing to see the changes through the years. It’s amazing that though these seniors were once strangers to us when they first stepped foot into Gracepoint Fellowship Church, that they have now come to appreciate our church. I’m just thankful that I get to be a part of their lives. It’s amazing thinking about these three brothers in particular who were fatherless but have grown and changed so much through the years here. One brother’s father thanked us for all that we did for him. His dad said that he was such a selfish person as a high school kid. All he cared about was making it to pro sports. However, his dad tried to tell him that life isn’t about making it pro. His dad said that after coming to our church that his son has changed and has become a human being. I’m thankful that his dad said these things, especially as this father is against Christianity. Also, it brought me joy to hear how the seniors were so thankful for Matt, Tom and Jackson. Matt kept saying that they didn’t do anything as they were struggling themselves back then when they were seniors living in the dorms. It’s true how they were struggling but I know that each person in our church had an impact in changing the current graduated seniors. As Matt and his peers were just doing what had been done to them & trying to take another step forward in their own relationship with God, the then freshmen were spurred on to keep going and here they are, graduating seniors who are in turn challenging and spurring on the current freshmen. It’s come full circle. God is good and faithful. I know that it’s really not about anything that we have done. All of us were just trying to take that next step forward & being faithful to the responsibilities and roles that were given to us. God is the one who indeed makes each plant grow.
God makes all things grow

I’m thankful to see how these seniors have grown in their faith. I’ve seen them take steps of faith, learning to trust God; I’ve seen them open up about their lives and asking for help; and I’ve seen them experience God’s faithfulness which spurs them on to greater faith. It’s so true that God is the one who makes all things grow. I’m thankful for how He has used each of us to impact one another, and together we can share in the joy of living life for Him.
Congratulations, Seniors. Do well!
Congrats Seniors! And thank you for your sharing, Esther. Truly God is good and faithful to each of us. I’m thankful for this community where we have these older brothers and sisters who can be a clear example to the younger ones and spur them on.
This is so encouraging. I’m so thankful to see how God has worked in the seniors’ lives as well – to cause them to change and grow. And it’s so beautiful to see how grateful they are for what they have experienced and received these past four years and how much they want to do the same for the younger ones. I trust God will continue to work in them and work through them in the years to come…
Truly, I’m a living testimony to the ways in which God used seniors like Franklin, Tom and Matt to bring the gospel to fresh faces. I’m so thankful for their sacrifice to live in the dorms 4 years ago. Who knows how many eternities have been redirected because of their faithfulness!
